A Call to Men (ACTM) is deeply invested in our work with young people as we believe that young people’s voices should be lifted up and centered in anti-oppression work. Youth ACT! is a group of young leaders “Actively Committed To” promoting healthy masculinity and healthy relationships, preventing gender-based violence, and creating a better world for ALL women, girls, men, boys, LGBQ, Trans, and nonbinary people. As a member, you will have the unique opportunity to connect with like minded individuals passionate about making a positive impact on our shared world.

This virtual cohort provides an opportunity to engage in meaningful work that supports social justice and equity, with a focus on education, outreach, and community engagement. As part of our dynamic team of young leaders, you will be “Actively Committed To” the following:

●  Promoting healthy, respectful masculinity

●  Promoting healthy relationships and consent

●  Challenging harmful cultural and social gender norms

●  Decreasing language and actions that degrade women, girls, LGBQ, trans, nonbinary individuals and other groups in the margins of the margins

What You'll Do:

Working individually and collaboratively, as a member of Youth ACT!, you will:

●  Actively participate in virtual meetings

●  Provide feedback for ACTM’s Live Respect Curriculum

●  Inform and support various ACTM initiatives such as our Youth Summit and dismantle. Art Contest

●  Identify school policies to address and advocate for change

●  Develop and implement programs and initiatives

●  Develop, share, and present content and resources

●  Collaborate with ACTM’s Communication team to manage Youth ACT! social media content

●  Bring your brilliant ideas to the table! All Youth ACT! Members will receive training on our Live Respect and Healthy Masculinity curriculum to gain an understanding of our work and how we promote healthy masculinity, relationships, and consent.

●  Ability to work independently and collaboratively

●  Good written and verbal communication skills

●  Willingness and excitement to learn and develop professional skills

●  Good research and problem solving skills

●  Ability to establish and foster strong relationships

●  Well organized, detail oriented

●  Ability to vocalize and contribute thoughts and ideas

YOUTH ACT MEMBERS ARE:

●  Currently enrolled in high school

●  Reside in the United States

●  Must have computer and internet access (please reach out if this is a concern)

●  Passion for leading the charge of social change!

A Call to Men believes the voices of young people is essential to this work. All Youth ACT! cohort members will receive a monthly honorarium of $160/month for their active participation. Join us in making a difference and creating a more inclusive and respectful world for everyone!
